APPLY

Thank you for your interest in the Multicultural Leadership Program. Applications for the Class of 2025 are now live!

About MCLP

Servant Leadership principles and community emphasis lead to personal transformations during each leader’s journey through the class. We provide a transformative experience and a circle of support to diverse individuals with the passion and leadership potential to transform their lives and their communities. MCLP informs, prepares, and equips them to meet the needs of our community today.

The twice-monthly sessions challenge participants to become more self-aware, grow as leaders, develop authentic relationships, and embrace their diverse experiences. They also cultivate support networks to bring their ideas and passions to life. The Institute and MCLP provide our participants with the highest-quality personal and professional growth opportunities in Central Illinois. Since 2009, MCLP has partnered with over 60 local nonprofits on capacity-building projects and empowered over 300 alumni leaders. Learn More about the Multicultural Leadership Program

Apply for the Class of 2025

Program Expectations

MCLP is a rigorous curriculum that includes many components (assessments, learning events, nonprofit projects, board shadowing, mentoring, buddy assignments, homework, and more.) In addition to the learning events, applicants should give careful and respectful consideration to the time commitment required.

We encourage that all applicants review the Class of 2025 schedule and Program Expectations prior to submitting an online application to ensure full participation is possible if selected.

Tuition

Tuition for the Multicultural Leadership program is $1,500.  We do not want cost to be a barrier to participation. MCLP has a need-based scholarship program and payment plans are also available. Some employers also cover all or part of the cost of the program.

MCLP is able to keep tuition low thanks to our many volunteers, sponsors, and donors.  We are thankful for all those who ‘pay it forward’ with a monthly, quarterly, or annual gift to help keep tuition affordable.
