MCLP Welcomes New Program Director

Linda BollivarThe Multicultural Leadership Program (MCLP) is proud to announce that Linda Bollivar will serve as Program Director for MCLP, effective July 7, 2014. In this newly formed position, Linda will work with the Executive Director, Sonya Mau, as well as the MCLP President, Board of Directors, and Advisory Council to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the MCLP curriculum and services. She will manage program operations and further sustainable growth in support of MCLP mission and goals.

During her tenure, the financial reserves increased by 30%, the technologies and office were upgraded, two additional part-time staff were added, and the number of older adults served increased by 28%. Prior to Faith in Action, Linda served for four years as a Program Director at the Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center.

Linda is a 2014 graduate of MCLP. As a class participant, she was pleased to find that MCLP provides “the tools to be a leader, practice putting those tools into action, and a web of support.” She envisions each year’s class to “twenty-six stones” that go out into the world “like ripples in a pond.”

A 1988 graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. in psychology and French, Linda resides in Bloomington with husband, David Bollivar, Chair of the Biology department at Illinois Wesleyan, and their two sons, Brian and Greg.
